By combining IoT devices such as smart glasses, cameras, other smart devices, and medical imaging screen sharing, a telepresence system enhances communication, enables remote collaboration, and provides real-time access to critical medical imaging data. It facilitates remote consultation, second opinions, and expert assistance, making healthcare more accessible, efficient, and effective, particularly when physical presence is not feasible or practical.

Smart Devices

The on-site clinicians treating or examining the patient use smart glasses or smart handheld devices, cameras, sensors, and medical displays to transmit clinical information to remote experts. These devices capture and transmit visual and audio information, enabling healthcare professionals to see and hear what the on-site clinician is experiencing in real-time.

Real-Time Communication

The smart glasses, cameras, smart devices, or medical screen-sharing devices establish a connection to our cloud-based telepresence platform through wireless networks or the internet. This enables real-time video conferencing, audio communication, and data sharing between the wearer and remote healthcare professionals.

Medical Imaging Screen Sharing

TeleVU’s telepresence system integrates with medical imaging devices to transmit a live feed to the remote expert. This allows for capturing and sharing medical imaging data, such as X-rays, MRIs or ultrasound images, endoscopy, vital signs, and other relevant clinical data and sharing it with the remote expert in real-time. The wearer can display the medical imaging data on their smart glasses or devices to receive remote guidance directly on the screen from the remote expert.

Remote Collaboration and Assistance

Our telepresence system allows remote healthcare professionals to view the live video feed from smart glasses, cameras, or devices on-site clinicians use. They can provide real-time guidance, instructions, or expert opinions based on visual information. In addition, healthcare professionals can also view and analyze the shared medical imaging data simultaneously, enabling collaborative decision-making.

Annotation and Markups

The telepresence system may include features that allow remote healthcare professionals to overlay annotations, markups, 3d and 2d overlays, or images onto the wearer's device field of view. This can help guide the on-site clinician during medical procedures, highlight important areas on medical images, or provide additional instructions during clinical examinations.
